Val Monk, Ph.D., I have a passion for facilitating personal growth and have had the privilege of working with people from various parts of the world. Since 1992, I have studied the Satir Model under the mentorship of Maria Gomori, reknown around the world as a master in the Satir Model, as well as a student and close friend of Virgina Satir. Most recently, I assisted Maria Gomori in writing a book based on Family Therapy and The Satir Model, published in early 2015. I regularly integrate Satir's theory and beliefs into my professional practice and personal life. Professionally, my areas of experience include advising family owned businesses, facilitating effective communication models, designing and delivering leadership development programs, strategic planning and working with individuals, couples and families in private therapy. I have a PhD in Therapeutic Counselling, as well as Masters academic standing in Organizational Learning and Leadership Development. Most importantly, I love working in a group process to connect people to their strengths, potential and internal value.
